Have you ever felt like you're your own biggest obstacle?

Last year, I stumbled upon a transformative read by Gary John Bishop - "Grow Up: Becoming the Parent Your Kids Deserve". Despite its title, it's not just for parents; it's a wake-up call for anyone stuck in the blame game.

Blame keeps us tethered to the past. As a marriage coach, I've heard countless excuses: "It's my spouse's fault our marriage failed," or "My upbringing made me who I am." But blaming others is just a quest to validate ourselves.

Bishop's book offers powerful insights:

"Blame ties you to what was."

"Blame perpetuates the past."

"Blame becomes our emotional anchor."

But the standout: "You're not just stuck with past events; you're stuck with what you tell yourself about them."

This isn't about dismissing your past; it's about reframing it. Recognize the narratives you've internalized and how they're holding you back.

Change begins with a choice. If you're unhappy with where you are, it's time to shed the weight of the past. Let go, forgive, and lead with love. As Epictetus said, "Small minds blame others, average minds blame themselves, but the wise see blame as foolishness."

Let us help you get unstuck and become the best version of yourself!
